Any Frida fan(atic) knows you can’t stop at just one necklace… and you gotta have the earrings to go with it! Here are two fast and easy Frida pendant pieces- you can easily complete both in one afternoon!
1. To begin, I assembled the shrine pendant using gel medium. Next,Patina Effect Paste was added to the give it a rustic finish. The inset is a quick collage using paper scraps and a Frida head cut-out. Turquoise paint was added to create her necklace. Then the acrylic topper was glued in place. Pendant one is done!
2.The creamic Frida pendant is even easier! Just use a Pitt pen to touch up her unibrow and dot on turquoise paint for her beaded necklace. She was added to an eye pin and ready for a small tassel. (The tassles for this pendant and both sets of earrings were made from embroidered thread in a coordinating color).
3. To complete the necklaces, I used howlite cross beads and eye pins to create a rosary style chain. But these could look great on beaded string or knotted cord- you imaginations the limit! Then a bead and tassle were combined for the earrings! I can’t wait to wear them… and if you make your own, we’d love to see it !
