Find Your Tribe

Cat Kerr’s quote stamp “Find Your Tribe, Love them Hard” really resonates with me. As a creative, I fully believe surrounding myself with supportive and imaginative people makes me stronger as an artist …and as a human.

As Brene Brown said, ” Creativity is the way I share my soul with the world.”

Here is how I created this little piece of my soul in honor of YOU, my creative “tribe”.

I first assembled the  mini DOTD shrine kit  ( ornate arch), then painted it with acrylics. Next, I sculpted a quick imperfect heart out of apoxie sculpt and cut an arrow in half which I embedded into the heart. This was set aside to cure. Using Cat Kerr’s TRIBE stamp ( and sepia ink) on the top and bits of scrapbook paper and gel medium, I embellished the shrine.  Returning my attention to the heart, I used a Verday patina set to achieve the effect on the heart and more acrylics to decorate the arrow. A small block was glued to the back of the heart before adhering it to the inset of the shrine.
